'Jurassic Park 3D' Opens No. 1 in China With $6.3M

Steven Spielberg's 1993 sci-fi classic brought in $6.3 million from 2,500 screens, the fourth-best opening day for a U.S. film in China this year, distributor Universal Pictures said Wednesday. It was the first time the film played theatrically on the mainland. That's behind "Iron Man 3" ($19.1 million), "Pacific Rim" ($8.6 million) and "Fast & Furious 6" ($8.3 million), but ahead of the first-day grosses of "Man of Steel" ($6.2 million) and "The Hobbit" ($5.6 million). ...
