The upcoming 'Daredevil' Netflix series will count as part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, says Marvel's Chief Creative Officer Joe Quesada. Set to start production in July, 'Daredevil' is the first of four small screen shows being produced for the online network, to be followed by 'Jessica Jones,' 'Iron Fist' and 'Luke Cage.' Quesada has been a major figure at Marvel for some time, working his way up from being a writer/artist to editor of the Marvel Knights line in 1998, before becoming editor-in-chief of Marvel Comics two years later - a role he vacated in 2011 following his promotion within the Marvel Entertainment ranks. Perceptive viewers may remember a criminal named Quesada being hunted down by Ben Affleck in the ill-fated 2003 'Daredevil' movie.
