With 'Million Dollar Arm' due out on 16 May in the US, the feel-good sports drama is staging an event that'll give away a $1 million prize. Dubbed The Million Dollar Arm Pitching Contest, it's a show of strength (in the arm and wrist, at least) to determine who can pitch (or throw, to us Brits) the hardest baseball. The event launches at Disneyland on 25 April and the following day at Disney World and at the Tribeca/ESPN Sports Day where any amateur over the age of 18 can try their luck. Based on a true story, 'Million Dollar Arm' stars John Hamm as a struggling sports agent who devises a an X-Factor-inspired recruitment system in India to find the next big baseball pitching star.
