Fincher Leaves Steve Jobs Film After Fee Row David Fincher has reportedly dropped out of directing the new Steve Jobs biopic after a row over fees. The Hollywood Reporter claims Sony Pictures is looking to replace The Social Network director after he demanded $10m (£6m) up front, as well as control over marketing. Fincher was due to team up with The Social Network's Oscar-winning writer Aaron Sorkin and producer Scott Rudin again. But The Hollywood Reporter quoted sources to the studio saying the compensation requested by Fincher was "ridiculous", adding: "You're not doing Transformers here.
