Steve Jobs is regarded as one the greatest visionaries of his generation thanks to his work as an entrepreneur and inventor at Apple, which saw him help revolutionise modern technology. But his work also extended to the big screen, and without Jobs' input Pixar wouldn't have blossomed into one of the world's most prestigious animation studio. According to Ed Catmull, Pixar Animation Studios' President, it was a two way street, because working there helped to transform Jobs as much as he changed the studio. An excerpt from Catmull's book has now been published on Gizmodo, and in it the computer scientist explains that Jobs was forever changed by his experiences at Pixar because he became "more sensitive not only to other people's feelings but also to their value as contributors to the creative process."
