Scalped Being Adapted Into Television Series Cult DC comic' Scalped' is set to be brought to the small screen after it was announced that WGN America are currently in the midst of pre-production on the show. Doug Jung, who has previously written for 'Big Love', 'Dark Blue', and 'Banshee,' will oversee the adaptation of the publication, which has been described as crime noir that is set on a Native American reservation. The comic, which was scribed by Jason Aaron and illustrated by R.M Guera, came to an end in 2012 after it had run for 60 monthly issues since its launch in 2007. It focused on the Ogala Lakota inhabitants in the fictional Prairie Rose Indian Reservation in South Dakota, as they attempted to battle drug and alcohol addiction, organised crime, poverty and politics, all while maintaining their cultural identity.
