Channing Tatum has been discussing his devotion to X-Men's Gambit, the character he will play in 'X-Men Apocalypse'. Tatum also revealed that he almost played Gambit back in 2006's 'X-Men: The Last Stand,' however the character was eventually written out of Brett Ratner's film. The 'Magic Mike' and '21 Jump Street' actor will finally make his debut as the character in the 2016 follow-up to the impending 'X-Men: Days Of Future Past,' which is released later this week. He is replacing Taylor Kitsch, who played the card-wielding mutant in' X-Men Origins: Wolverine', and Tatum explained that his busy schedule is the reason why Kitsch beat him to the role.
